⁄handlogic is an experimental pop band from Florence, Italy.
They released their debut “EP” in December 2016 and, since then, have received rave reviews in several music publications, both online and in press; upon its release, EP was also “Record of the Week” on Rockit.it and “Rivelazione dell’Anno” on La Repubblica. Later on they released a collection of remixes including those of artists as diverse as Alberto Ferrari (Verdena), Andrea Appino (Zen Circus), Giulio Favero (Teatro degli Orrori).
Their music has been defined as having “multiple inspirations, uniting trip hop’s experimental glance with a contemporary alternative R&B tinge, together with a jazz attitude for sonic construction”, and they have recently been experimenting the field of art rock.
The project was started in 2016 and shortly afterwards it won Controradio’s Rock Contest – arguably the most prestigious contest for live music in Italy.
In the past two years ⁄handlogic have been playing more than a hundred shows across all of Italy, including spots such as the main stage at the MI AMI Festival 2017 in Milan, RAI Radio1 and Radio2 , and they opened both for rock artists such as Primal Scream and jazz giants such as Paolo Fresu and Gianluca Petrella in Florence’s Teatro Verdi. In the Spring of 2018 ⁄handlogic also toured Germany and the Czech Republic for a series of gigs.
They signed a record deal with Woodworm Label in 2018, and recorded their first full length album “Nobodypanic” during the following winter. The record was released on May 3, 2019. During the summer of 2019 the band toured extensively, playing amongst the best festivals and venues in Italy such as Ypsigrock Festival, Wodoo Fest, Albori Festival, Mengo Music Fest, and Villa Ada in Rome.
